Donna A. Smith is President of Health Opera, LLC a professional development center with emphasis on total wellness. She has a dual background in management and public health. With over 20 years of experience, Donna has developed thriving undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs, restored synergy with troublesome teams, and provided structure to enable better workflow and productivity.

While she was still a senior at the University of Maryland, she was recruited to be a foodservice director of an extremely diverse group. This was the beginning of her training in management and helped to hone her skills to be patient, have a keen eye for detail, think on her feet while meeting challenges, be a good listener, and set boundaries.

She has received numerous plaques and certificates for outstanding excellence in teaching and delivering quality work that has passed academic associations, state affiliates, and military inspections. Her knowledge gained has been incorporated into many books/manuals she has authored. Donna also shares this wealth of knowledge at workshops and presentations for universities, commercial industries, conferences, and several nonprofit organizations.
